My car calls for 8 degrees initial form the factory. I was running 9 degrees initial=107MPH in the 1/4, but the total timing there wound up being 42 degrees. By taking it back to 7 degrees initial/ 40 degrees total, I went to almost 111MPH in the 1/4. Supposedly, big blocks like around 38 degrees total.
