Web19 Jul 2024 · 1 1 The single wire switch is ok but anything that needs to be done on the pump or pressure switch the breaker will need to be turned off because there will be 120v on the non switched hot and that will feed through the motor and can be a hazard. I would replace with a double pole motor rated switch. Web22 Apr 2011 · Just noticed today that the sump was 99% full and no water was draining. Checked the breaker and sure enough it was tripped, so I reset the breaker and it worked fine again (saw and felt the water draining as normal). However after about 5 minutes the breaker tripped again.
