Web14. aug 2024 · Simulation of Bi-Directional Logic Level Converter. The complete working of the logic level shifter circuit can be understood by using simulation results. As you can see in the below GIF image, during high level to low level logic conversion the Logic input pin is shifted between 5V and 0V (ground) and the logic output is obtained as 3.3V and 0V. Web4. jún 2024 · :) I understand the Sparkfun circuit in your first link with the BSS138. I think I'm getting how the LSF works: the top FET creates a feedback loop, and that sets Qlg to the voltage we want. Then the bottom FET works like the Sparkfun shifter, only with no requirement on Vth. Is there a diode there too to allow for right to left transfer? Pik'
WebTo get over this obstacle you need a device that can shift 3.3V up to 5V or 5V down to 3.3V. This is called logic level shifting. WebThis chip perform bidirectional level shifting from pretty much any voltage to any voltage and will auto-detect the direction. Only thing that doesn't work well with this chip is i2c (because it uses strong pullups which confuse auto-direction sensor) or control lines with a lot of capacitance on them. WebIf your 3.3V device isn't 5V I/O compatible you may fry it this way. Also if the 3.3V device outputs a low level we can ignore D1, and the level at the 5V input will be determined by R1, D2 and R2. R1 + R2 will lift the low level up to a certain level, and the diode will add another 0.7V, so the level seen on the 5V side may not be low at all.
