WebMay 5, 2024 · So I had an old inkjet printer lying at home that no longer worked. So I opened it up and found a few opto sensors and normal motors controlling to carriages. I connected the motors to a motor shield and wrote a small code to control it with a joystick. Here's a video of it. I'm clueless how to use the opto sensor with arduino, and am looking for inputs … WebDec 24, 2014 · Worked better than the other code I was using. Worked for both 28byj and the scanner stepper motor. The difference between the two was that the 28byj spun slowly and the scanner stepper motor spun really fast clockwise. Going to play with the code and see. Maybe I can find a way to control it properly and then I can work on the other one.
