Web13 jun. 2016 · So one of my computers has 6GB RAM - I wanted to update this a bit so I went onto the Crucial Scan website and bought some additional RAM that it recommended. I now have 2GB x 6 - making a total of 12GB. The machine boots with no issues but in Windows it says that there is 12GB, but only 6GB is usable. WebOk, these programs are a bit heavy on the RAM side, but definitely not enough to go past 21GB of RAM in full system load. I just reopened it all and am seeing peaks of 21 GB of RAM with a bunch of tabs open in Firefox. I'm trying to figure out why the system is trying to use virtual memory while there's a bunch of real RAM available.
